My name is Brett and I run the Bearded Gnome Nursery - A micro nursery specialising in exotic and sub-tropical plants. My passions are Begonias, Aeoniums, and Persicaria. I am a horticulturalist who trained in Cambridge and then spent three years working at Tresco Abbey Garden on the Isles of Scilly. My partner and I relocated to Sussex in 2025 and I began working on what would be the Bearded Gnome. From small beginnings I grew a collection of plants reproduced through expert propagation. My nursery is available to view by appointment only, however I pitch up regularly at local markets.
